ITP Aero and Air Nostrum Engineering & Maintenance sign a contract for the MRO of CT7-9C3 engines

ITP Aero and Air Nostrum Engineering & Maintenance (ANEM) have signed a contract for the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) of General Electric CT7-9C3 engines, which power the CN235 aircraft fleet operated by SASEMAR (Sea Rescue Service). This contract, with an initial duration of three years, aligns with ITP Aero’s strategic focus on expanding its presence in the MRO market and enhancing its aftermarket capabilities for key engine platforms currently in operation.

The maintenance work will be performed at ITP Aero’s facility in Albacete (Spain). “We are delighted to continue our partnership with Air Nostrum, as part of GE Aerospace’s in-service engine community for CT7 engines” says Alan Jones, Executive Director of MRO.

“This is another milestone that allows us to continue with the execution of ITP Aero’s strategic MRO growth roadmap, driving the expansion of our commercial aftermarket services and the operational excellence of our maintenance and repair capabilities” adds Alan Jones. The CT7-9C3 engines, operated on CN-235 aircraft, provide a baseline power increase of approximately five percent and improved performance for hot and high-altitude takeoffs compared to the current CT7-9 models. The engine’s performance improvements are due to an advanced centrifugal compressor, which completed certification testing last year.
